The Salt Lake City downtown skyline stock photograph shows the skyscrapers of downtown Salt Lake City, the historic Mormon Temple, the Church Office building, and snow capped Wasatch Mountains in the background with a storm approaching.
This is one of my favorite stock photographs of Salt Lake City, Utah. I love the contrast of the late afternoon sun against the snow capped mountains in the background with the winter storm approaching.
Salt Lake City is a beautiful city. It features some of the finest restaurants, music (Utah Symphony), theater, (Pioneer Theater Company), sports teams (Utah Jazz and Salt Lake Real MLS Soccer). It is also home to the headquarters of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with the historic Salt Lake Temple nestled in the middle of downtown. It used to be (not in my lifetime) that the temple was the only building you could see on the skyline, but the outdoors (skiing, National Parks (i.e. Zions, Arches, Bryce Canyon, etc.)), and wonderful living conditions brings transplants from all over the world.
This stock photograph of the Salt Lake City Skyline has been featured in several prominent locations including Forbes.com, PBS.org, geology.com and many other locations.
The stock image also is featured in the book “Salt Lake City – 60 Hikes within 60 Miles” by Greg Witt, published by Menasha Ridge Press (Preface – page XVI).
